Moorfoots in Moffat.

A herd of 10 Moorfoots made their way to the Moffat Festival 15Km Run on Tuesday 12th of July. A balmy July night made for a thirsty 9 and a bit miler – first heading out on a 4 mile, undulating tarmac section of road, leading to a challenging uphill farm track and then onto the main A701 into Moffat. Getting the pace right is crucial on this one. Keep a steady pace on the first section, leave something for the hill but don’t ruin yourself on it as there is a good downhill thrash available – all four and a half miles of it – before a final, flattish 400m to the ‘chalk on the road’ finish line. Great atmosphere on the night– only bettered by the fare available at the local chippy.
