Club socials over the Festive break

Great turnout for the 'Boxing Day Run to the Mast' with 15 doing the run

The Junior handicap was a success. Gregor's report:
11 at 11. That was eleven runners at 11 o'clock for the handicap fun run and we had two firsts. A first-time adult winner overall with Frank Clare, running off a handicap of 3.00 minutes, going eyeballs out in a sea of lactic over the final 100m to determinedly hold off his daughter Charlotte who was backmarker off a handicap of 4.30. Frank's winning time was 16.19 with CC one second behind in 16.20 and with the fastest scratch time of 11.50 for the 2-mile course. She'll be kicking herself for being one second outside Euan James Hood's fastest scratch time from 2016! So a Clare 1-2 but mum Sarah Clare was posted missing 🙁 despite the promise of a good handicap.
Frank took home the trad bottle of hot spicy sauce for first adult and in a new innovation, which was the second first, Mark Pyman got the booby prize - the Jam Tarts award for being bottom of the pile! By a long way!! 🤣 💚💚
Ta to Ruth McKean for sweeping.
