With the snow getting the better of the Borders XC race at Gala, the first of this years Glentres Duathlons also looked in doubt, but with some course modifications, the race went ahead abeit with a significantly depleted field...looks like everyone had a great time.
Moorfoot's Tom Hobbs ran and cycled to second place (1:05), pulling back two places in the run over some of the speedy PCC juniors.
Eddie Balfour also showed good running form gaining nine places in the run to finish in seventh place (1:12).
Alison Caw and Julia Connor contiunued their duelling from last years duathlons, Alison going into the cycle/run transition with a three minute lead. Julia though, clawed back the time in the hill run to pull ahead, finishing in 1:24 to Alison's 1:26 - good racing !
