Skiddaw Win for Scout
It is probably her most raced mountain and
familiarity with the territory helped Scout Adkin to the win
the Skiddaw Fell Race near Keswick in the Lake District on Sunday. Returning
home in a time of 1 hour 21 minutes and 38 seconds she was nearly seven minutes quicker than last year and crossed the line 38
seconds clear of second woman home Lindsey Brindle from Horwich. The race was
preparation for a second assault on Snowdon on 20 July, this time in the
Snowdon Super Cup, an invitation only uphill race with a top international field
expected to include GB mountain runners Emma Clayton and Olivia Walwyn.
