Moorfoots at Feel the Burns Hill Race 2014

Scout (1st Female) with her turnip; James (2nd Male) with his haggis and the
Team Prize (James, Mike, Coxy) slab of beer
Some great Moorfoot performances at the Selkirk based and haggis themed 'Feel the Burns' Hill Race on Sunday. 'Snow' was a feature of the 2013 race - this year, the feature was 'mud', after a rather wet spell overnight, but the weather stayed fair on the day, and the course appeared to be running faster than previously....

James took 2nd place overall and Scout 1st female - in fact, there was a blanket finish of Moorfoots (Mike McG, Coxy, Tom, Scout - 8/9/10/11 place) all within a minute of so of each other...securing the team prize....

Good runs also from Colin (10 mins off 2013 time..) and Kenny (9 mins better than last year and sub 2 hours) and strong performances from Eddie (sub 2hrs), Paul and Alan in their first running of this race.

Well done again to Selkirk Fund Runners' Shelia Cochrane and her legion of helpers for putting on another top event (172 runners on the day!)...and over £1000 raised for Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue....
