Moorfoots at Gala 10K

The sharp end of the race...so that's what it look like !
A new course this year - a 3 lapper - due to the works having started on the old railway line which will become the future new railway line. However, still a great wee run, a relatively fast course despite a few twists and turns and the big grassy lap round Netherdale Rugby Ground to the finish.

A reasonable turn out of Moorfoots, with Wull (7th 35:28), Darin (8th 35:32) and Mike McG (13th 36:44) leading the Moorfoot charge - good enough for the team prize - well done chaps !

Further back, Kenny (21st 38:55) held off the fast finishing Innerleithen Runner Robert Patterson by a few seconds in a final 400m battle...

Performance of the day was arguably Hilary Dougal's 55:07, shedding several minutes from her 10K PB set earlier this year at Dunbar.

Well done to Gala Harriers for a well organised race and a splendid sandwich and cake spread for the prize giving.
