Moorfoots at Three Bridges Race 2011

Slow motion action shot...!
A perfect summers day (in May !) greeted the assembled crowds and runners at this years Three Bridges Races, hosted by the Peebles Beltane Games Committee.

Plenty of Moorfoots in action, from the primary races, up through the Open Youths, Open Seniors and the Fun Races - well done to all who took part and were there in support.

In the senior Open race, a slightly larger field than previous years assembled, with a good cross section of runners - fun runners through racers, youth through vets.

First man home was Kelso runner XXX, who ran through from the scratch postion overtaking the entire field to win comfortably. In a well fought 2nd place, Darin Dougal also ran from almost the back of the field for another Three Bridges podium position.
In a surprise 3rd position was Kenny Davidson, who ran to handicap and hung on laterly to get into the prizes.

Also running in the open senior race were Moorfoots Scout Adkins, Ian Munroe, Johnny Hall, Mike McGovern and multiple past Three Bridges Champion Tom McNaughton.

Next  local race is the Gypsy Glen Hill Race on Wednesday 18-May....
