Lucy 1st in Howgill 26, Katie 4th at Ultra Trail Snowdonia, Andy 10th at Ben Lomond

Out on the hills this weekend were three club members putting in excellent showings - fantastic stuff

Lucy Colquhoun had a brilliant run at the Howgills Trail 26 (26miles & 3,900ft ascent) winning the race - 1st woman, 1st FVet and 6th overall in 4:13:38

The website explains it as : https://lakeland100.com/howgillstrail/
The event is based in Sedbergh and the course passes through the Howgill Fells, part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It’s a picturesque setting, but the course has real ‘bite’ with some serious climbing in the first 6 miles for both half and full marathon courses. It’s stunning, quiet and scenic, but not for the faint hearted.
The podium (without a podium)

Katie Walling was tackling the highest peaks in Wales at the Ultra Trail Snowdonia - 54ish miles, over 16000ft of ascent. She had an awesome run on an awesome day to finish 4th woman in 17hours 33 minutes it would appear by the photos:

A huge day out and well supported by Craig and Iona!

Staying in Scotland Andy Cox was 10th at the classic Ben Lomond Hill Race (12km, 980m ascent) in 1:18:12 - a quality result at one of the oldest and most competitive races in the Scottish hill running calendar

Well done all!
