She may still be a junior but Scout Adkin warmed up for further Scotland representative honours in the hill running Junior Home International next weekend with an excellent 3rd place overall and 1st female in the Blairgowrie Games Hill Race last Sunday.
The Home International takes place in Glendalough, Ireland on Sunday 19 September and doubles as the British and Irish Junior Championships. Scout finished just outside the medals in 5th last year in the U16 age-group but this will be her first foray into the U18 age-group at international level and she’ll face tough opposition from a strong England team and World U17 Mountain Running Champion Ffion Price.
