Weekend Roundup

It was the annual Ben Nevis Race at the weekend, and Russell was conquering the UK's highest hill race in  2:05 (wow !) and a comfortable top 100 placing (95th) in a field of over 400 runners. The high altitude training from his trekking holiday in India earlier in  the year, is obviously now paying dividends...

Elsewhere, Jock and Julia were participating in the Peebles Cycling Club 'Tour of Tweeddale' cycling sportif - Julia completing the 90 mile course in a shade over 6 hours (a very respectable average speed of ~15 mph); Jock was 'cycling below the radar' without a number, so no time recorded, but hopefully safely home !!

Paul Nichol was 'through West' at the Glasgow Great Scottish Run , completing the Half Marathon in 1:39 - very respectable !
And congratulations to Scout ,who has been selected again for the Scotland Team at the forthcoming Home Internationals in Ireland for the U19 girls cross country team.

Last, but by no means least, congratulations to Colin and Fi on the arrival of baby boy Austen Findlay Williams on the 5th September...!

Running elsewhere for the Moorfoots ? - let us know and we'll update the blogger...
