Scottish Virtual Road Relays organised by EU Haries

With so many race cancellations for the foreseeable EU Hares and Hounds took it upon themselves to organise Scottish Virtual Road Relays. It consisted of teams of 4 with running 5km, with all legs completed solo at a time of your own choosing and recorded on GPS devices, and in line with all government regulations and social distancing guidelines. All the information can be found here
It proved very popular with the club membership with 24 runners making up 6 teams - as shown below:

Moorfoot Southern Upland Way Weekend

Moorfoot Southern Upland Way Run
The idea of running some sections of the SUW as a club weekend away, had been in discussion on several occasions....nowe we're ready to make it happen!

When:
SAT 13-June / SUN 14-June 2020

Format:
A relay of short to medium length stages, run as 'group runs', starting in Moffat and ending at Cockburnspath, with a mini bus dropping off and collecting runners along the way; focus on fun…
We'll try to ensure everyone gets to run on a couple of different legs, and match up runners of similar pace...

Key Stats:
Nine stages
150km total length
3000m ascent
Longest stage 26km
Shortest stage 12km
Expected duration 15hours

Other Info
Leaving Peebles on the Sat at 0400 (yes!) for a 0500 start from Moffat, finishing Cockburnspath 2000ish!
Overnight stay and 'social' somewhere at the end...will be confirmed once we know numbers
Home to Peebles early PM on the Sunday...maybe a wee Sunday run in the beach?

Who can come?
If you've been on the Moorfoot Thursday night club runs, you'll manage this no problem!
Priority to paid up members of Moorfoot Runners Club...fill in the Doodle poll to register your interest
Probably room for 12 to 15 in the minibus

Costs?
Still being calculated but probably in region of £50 to £60 per person, covering mini bus, fuel, accommodation and Saturday night

Looking to confirm numbers by mid March, so don't dither for too long....
