At last, some decent weather at Glentress for this years duathlon series. November was wet and cold, January was postponed, February was snowed off....March brought some almost Spring-like weather for the rescheduled short course race, although the course was modified to stay off the snow and ice still lying on the higher ground.
Some more great results from the ladies, with Julia getting a third place in Sunday's Ladies race (1:03:29 29th overall, outsprinted for 2nd place) and third overall in the series.
Alison (1:08:41 47th overall) secured the Ladies V40 series prize with another solid result built around a strong cycle leg.
Kenny put in a guest appearance at the short course race, achieving a creditable 15th place overall (1:00:03) - a good run, hanging on a bit in the cycle !! - in a slightly weakened men's field following the rescheduled date.
Great organisation, course layout, atmosphere, facilities and prizes from the PCC organisers again - well done to Pete Baxter and the team !
