Moorfoots at Bog & Burn Series and Mull Monsterette

Fuelled with the good company and lovely food last Sunday, Ive run a couple of hill races in the last week.

Wednesday night saw the first Bog and Burn counter, the Kaim Hill Race at Fairlie. It was a fine sunny evening and the normally boggy hill was quite dry. I finished tenth in a field of 63.

Saturday was the Mull Monsterette, a race only held every two years. It's a fantastic course, starting on the shore and taking in five tops, each higher than the previous one and finishing with Ben More and a fast descent via walker's path and moor from over 3000 feet down to sea level. I finished seventh in a small but select field of 19.

I'm planning on doing as many of the Wednesday nights Bog and Burn series as I can manage so if anyone else is going and wants to share transport, let me know. Also got some Saturday races in May (Stuc a Chroin(maybe), Ben Lomond and Goatfell.

Cheers...
