I
was trying to redeem something from the season after such a poor result
at the 2 Breweries so decided to gamble everything on the Pentland
Sykline. Met Andrew Cox on the start line (and no surprise that was the
last I saw of him). Weather was drizzle with low cloud which proved
ideal for running (if you knew the route well). This is an increasingly
popular race with a large field of around 200 entries this year.
I managed to surprise myself by
not falling to pieces and finished in 3:20 (57th). Andrew had an
excellent result in 2:53 (16th). One (top 10) runner was disqualified
for not having the required safety kit with him at the finish! A great
race !
