Chapelgill Hill Race 2022

Chapellgill is one of the longest running hill races in Scotland and was started back in the late 70's. It claims to be the steepest hill race in Britain. The course is a real thigh burner straight up and down, 2.4km Climb 430m.

Two Moorfoots took part. Andy Cox was defending champion and won again with a PB time of 22:08. Danny Lavin also recorded a top three finish in 23:08, having made it to the summit in 2nd place. Full results https://protay.co.uk/chapelgill/results.php

I went along to watch and used the opportunity to do the Culter Fell horseshoe as a long run and timed it to be at the top for the race and got some amazing pics on a stunning day.
