I've postponed my plan to run the Southern Upland route at the end of the month. I'm going to revert to my original plan to run from Moffat to Peebles over the hills, sometime in June or July, when the days are longer and the weather more predictable.Instead, I've plotted a route from Peebles that goes in a circle, clockwise from the Gytes, up Gypsy Glen, over Birkscairn, Stake Law, Dun Rig, Glenrath Heights, Middle Hill, Hundleshope Heights, Stob Law, Canada Hill and back over Cademuir. It's 18 miles and about 1100m of ascent. I'm planning on doing it on Saturday the 28th of March.
I'm guessing that it'll be about 3 to 3.5 hours, depending on the weather. Everyone is more than welcome to join me. I was up there today and it was a bit muddy in places and the wind was biting, so fell shoes and wind or waterproofs are probably going to be the order of the day.
Map of route here
Cheers, Johnny

Hi Johnny - Colin here. I am keen to do half of it - from St Marys Loch to Traquair, but don't think I am up to a hilly 32 miles yet. cheers Colin
Yep, I'm thinking June or July for the Moffat to Peebles route. Not sure about the SUW route at the moment. I'll let you know.
You want to do the 18 miler on the 28th? Will, Darin and Kenny are running it, I think.
