Moorfoot Winner in Forfar Multi-Terrain Half Marathon

The intrepid James and Rachael have been on the road again flying the Moorfoot flag...

"As we were in Aberdeenshire at the weekend we (Rachael & James) decided to enter the Forfar Multi Terrain half marathon. The route starts off with a pleasant run around Forfar loch and then gets progressively less pleasant (flooded farm tracks, marshes, a mile long hill climb and finally ploughed farmers fields). James came in first in a time of 1:18:43, beating the second placed runner by just 6 seconds, Rachael finished 67th and 13th lady in 1:43:05".

Moorfoot runners who fancy a go at beating James' time on slightly easier terrain should pencil in the Alloa Half Marathon (Alloa Stirlingshire rather than Aloha Hawaii...!!) on 22-March. Online entry available and recommended (this can be a popular event for London Marathoners looking for a timed 'warm-up')
