Devil's Beef Tub Hill race report - Moorfoot 1st & 2nd

There was success at the John Blair-Fish Devil’s Beeftub Hill Race this Saturday with a Moorfoot 1st and 2nd.

Andy Cox was the winner with Lucas Cheskin close behind in second.
They both set out pretty quick up the first climb, neck and neck, and Andy managed to pull away after that, with Lucas following round the top. Lucas lost sight of Andy at the cairn and using knowledge following a recent recce Andy took a good line down to clinch the win. 
Andy said "The last descent was a nightmare as it was Hellish wet but looking at past results I'm pretty pleased with the time on a wet slippery day."

The race was the penultimate round in the Scottish Borders Hill Race Series and had 49 runners which was almost double the entrants from last year.
