Sophie proves that women CAN multi-task. Jacob eases back into racing.

Not only was she organising the Scottish Students XC Champs at Craigmillar Castle on Saturday on behalf of Edinburgh Uni but Sophie Collins still managed to get herself on the start line and then run the race of her life for 4th place in the 6.1km women's race, only 18secs off the medals. Some good scalps taken in the process.

An earlier success for Sophie at the 3 Bridges with some wee lads

And Jacob Adkin, still very gradually building things back up after recurrent shin splints, eased himself back into racing with a steady tempo effort for 16th in the men's 9.6km race.
