Ross Grieve was at the Devil o' the Highlands Footrace on Saturday.
The Devil is a Trail Ultramarathon (https://www.devilothehighlandsfootrace.co.uk/) along the West Highland Way starting in Tyndrum and ending in Fort William - Distance: 42 miles / 69 Km; Total Ascent 6500ft / 1981 m
Ross had a strong and well measured run workin his way through the field finishing 7th M50 and 35th overall. Great running

Meanwhile …… Colin was in Allendale in Northumberland doing the Isaacs Tea Trail Ultra, 38miles and 5,000 feet of ascent.
With so many events in calendar this had a largely local field in the 100 or so entrants, and he finished 7th overall, however Colin’s race was a contrast to Ross’s well executed run, having been in joint third until the last 10 miles. He said:
The wheels well and truly feel off in last 10 Miles! I honestly thought I was going to smash the last part at halfway and felt totally within myself. How wrong could I have been, I’m in bits now! I’m hoping the Two Breweries will feel like a sprint in comparison
