Again there was a good Moorfoot turnout in the 2020 edition
of the Melrose Run off the Christmas Pudding Race.
The 13.1km/8 mile mixed terrain route follows an anti
clockwise loop of the Eildon Hills on trail and road and includes almost 1,000
feet of climb and some very muddy tracks.
Great to see a big turnout with 7 Moorfoots out enjoying the
challenge, including really good runs to start the year all round and included a 2nd place by Gillian Carr and a 3rd
place by Colin Williams, but really an event where the emphasis was on the
challenge. Proceeds going to local scouts and junior football club, and
first time I’ve recieved a goodie bag including a toilet roll! Great spread in the club
house later.
