Considering the dreichness of the morning, a good turnout for today's junior and senior runs.
The junior run looped Haylodge and came in at around 1 mile. Strong running by Kieran Fulton in the juniors and a good tussle between Jake and Lola Lockyer – all but a 10th of a second in it! A good finishing battle between Elena Lee and Luke Grieve – again, the thickness of a vest in it. Also, good to see Emily Edge beating her dad Richard to the finish line!

The adult route went from Haylodge to the viaduct, into South
Park Wood and over to Spoon Wood, returning to the viaduct, along the Tweed and
linked up with the end of the Peebles XC route. Total distance was around 4
miles with approximately 600ft of climbing.
Good going by Dorien Kimenai crossing the line first, coming
in at 42.06. Scott Robson tapping in to pooch power and Cani-crossing it with
Darcy and clocking 34.10.
Hayley Davidson, pipping Jen Misak by a second to put in the
fastest ladies’ time. Good scrap up front of the men’s group with Iain Veitch
coming from the back marker position to set the fastest time in 27.05.
All made possible by Gillian Carr, Kerry Law, Katie Grieve, Gregor
Nicholson, Ross And Luke Grieve and Pete Caddick, Tim Warner, Danny Lavin and Mike
McGovern.
Next handicap run coming up on 23 of May and is being
organised by Danny Lavin and Mike McGovern. Details here http://moorfootrunners.blogspot.com/2021/04/peebles-cademuir-moorfoot-senior.html
